Controller, CFO (Commercial General Contractor)

The Opportunity This is far more than a traditional Controller position. The company is seeking a hands-on construction accounting leader who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while also serving as a trusted business partner to ownership and operations. You\'ll inherit an established accounting team and solid foundation while having the opportunity to improve processes, strengthen reporting, and help guide the company\'s continued growth. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee all aspects of corporate accounting and construction project accounting. Manage Work in Progress (WIP), percentage-of-completion accounting, job costing, and AIA/progress billing. Oversee monthly financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management. Partner directly with ownership to provide financial insight and support key business decisions. Serve as the financial liaison between accounting and operations, working closely with Project Managers and leadership. Lead, mentor, and develop an accounting team of approximately five professionals. Evaluate and improve accounting processes, reporting capabilities, and internal controls.
