Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Executive Director to drive the growth of our major national retail accounts. In this influential and senior role, you will focus on maximizing sales, nurturing key client relationships, and uncovering new business opportunities. You will work closely with senior leadership, ensuring seamless execution across strategies, product development, forecasts, inventory management, pricing, operations, and customer service. Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM Seniority Level: Director Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Leadership and Growth: Drive account strategies developed with senior leadership, fostering improvements in customer performance that lead to profitable growth. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including merchants, senior leadership, and sourcing teams. Lead customer-facing meetings and strategic reviews, identifying opportunities for expanding existing programs and entering new markets.
  • Business Development: Construct and maintain a pipeline of new customer opportunities, collaborating with various teams to create innovative, differentiated programs for major retailers. Generate compelling customer proposals backed by thorough market research and analysis.
  • Sales and Financial Management: Achieve sales and profitability goals, developing annual plans and budgets while managing pricing and promotional strategies. Assess account performance and implement improvement plans as needed, ensuring all new opportunities are supported by solid business cases.
  • Forecasting and Inventory Planning: Collaborate with customers and internal teams to create reliable forecasts, ensuring effective inventory planning for product launches and promotions. Proactively identify and resolve potential supply chain issues.
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Partner with multiple departments to ensure efficient account management, overseeing daily operations and communication of priorities across the organization.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and mentor account teams, establishing clear goals and expectations while holding team members accountable. Foster a culture of collaboration and urgency in achieving measurable results.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, finance, or related fields.
  • 7+ years of progressive sales and account management experience, particularly with large retailers.
  • 5+ years in managing complex national accounts and leading sales teams.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with experience in managing profitability and operational execution.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; willingness to travel frequently.
  • Background in flooring, building materials, or home improvement products preferred. This position has physical demands requiring: Regular use of hands for handling objects; lifting and moving up to 50 pounds occasionally. The employee should be capable of performing these duties effectively with or without reasonable accommodation.
