Overview Lanier Home Restoration (LHR) is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Financial Controller Assistant to join our growing team. This position will work closely with our Financial Controller to assist with day-to-day accounting, invoicing, financial reporting, and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with QuickBooks, invoicing, spreadsheets, and financial/accounting processes and is comfortable working with numbers and detailed financial information. Responsibilities
- Assist the Financial Controller with daily accounting and financial tasks
- Enter, review, and maintain financial information in QuickBooks
- Prepare and process customer invoices
- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Track outstanding invoices and assist with collections
- Reconcile accounts and review transactions for accuracy
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Create, update, and maintain Excel spreadsheets and financial reports
- Assist with monthly financial reporting and account reconciliations
- Review financial information for accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Assist with expense tracking and documentation
- Help maintain accurate customer and vendor records
- Assist with payroll-related financial information as needed
- Provide administrative support to the Financial Controller
- Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned Experience
- Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a similar position
- Experience using QuickBooks
- Experience with invoices and accounts receivable/payable
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets
- Comfortable working with financial statements, reports, and numerical information
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while also working closely with the Financial Controller
- Must be dependable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a Controller, Accountant, or Finance Manager
- Experience with QuickBooks Online
- Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations
- Construction, restoration, contracting, or service-industry accounting experience We are looking for someone who is organized, accurate, dependable, and takes pride in their work. Pay
