Senior Medical Malpractice Litigation Paralegal Williams Elleby Howard & Easter | Kennesaw, Georgia Full-Time | Hybrid: 3 Days In-Office / 2 Days Remote Join a Trial-Focused Law Firm Where Quality Matters More Than Quantity Williams Elleby Howard & Easter is seeking an experienced Senior Medical Malpractice Litigation Paralegal to join our growing plaintiffs' personal injury and medical malpractice practice in Kennesaw, Georgia. We are looking for a highly skilled, detail-oriented professional who understands the complexities of medical malpractice litigation and takes pride in helping injured patients and their families pursue justice. The Position Our Senior Medical Malpractice Litigation Paralegal will work primarily with one attorney and assist in managing a focused caseload of approximately 10–20 active medical malpractice cases. The ideal candidate has substantial experience serving as the lead paralegal on medical malpractice cases and is comfortable taking ownership of the day-to-day litigation process under attorney supervision. Primary responsibilities include:
- Manage medical malpractice cases throughout litigation, from initial investigation through trial preparation.
- Obtain, organize, and analyze extensive medical records, imaging, and other complex medical evidence.
- Prepare detailed medical chronologies, case summaries, and other materials to assist attorneys and medical experts.
- Coordinate with retained medical experts regarding records, reviews, depositions, and testimony.
- Draft and assist with pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and other litigation documents.
- Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
- Monitor litigation deadlines, maintain organized case files, and ensure timely completion of case-related tasks.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
- Anticipate case needs and proactively assist the attorney in moving cases toward resolution or trial. Qualifications
Preferred qualifications
- Five or more years of experience as the lead paralegal on medical malpractice litigation matters.
- Substantial experience with complex civil litigation.
- Strong familiarity with medical terminology, medical records, and medical expert coordination.
- Experience preparing cases for depositions, mediation, and trial.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage litigation deadlines and work independently while maintaining close communication with the responsible attorney.
- Proficiency with electronic case management, document management, and court filing systems.
