Position: Legal Assistant / Project Manager to the President & CEO Reports To: President & CEO Location: Atlanta HQ Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary The Legal Assistant / Project Manager will provide direct support to the President & CEO in managing executive priorities, projects, strategic initiatives, and legal matters. This position will help ensure that assignments and decisions are organized, tracked, communicated, and followed through to completion. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Strong writing, research, communication, and project management skills are essential. Legal assistant or paralegal experience is preferred. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate CEO activities, projects, and initiatives from assignment through completion.
  • Maintain a central tracker of priorities, deadlines, responsibilities, deliverables, and outstanding items.
  • Follow up with staff and other stakeholders to ensure assignments remain on track and deadlines are met.
  • Identify delays, outstanding issues, and areas requiring follow-up and bring them to the CEO’s attention.
  • Support implementation of the strategic plan and business plan, including collecting updates, tracking deliverables, and preparing progress reports.
  • Conduct research and prepare summaries, correspondence, presentations, briefing materials, and reports for the CEO.
  • Provide legal support, including organizing contracts and legal documents, tracking deadlines, and assisting with legal research, drafting, and document review under attorney supervision.
  • Coordinate follow-up related to brand relations, owner concerns, advocacy matters, and member programs.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and materials; take notes; document decisions, assignments, and deadlines; and follow up on action items.
  • Assist with Board, Officer, and committee materials and track requests requiring CEO attention.
  • Coordinate meetings and communications with staff, members, industry partners, outside counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized records and handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Perform other projects and assignments as directed by the President & CEO. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
  • Legal assistant, paralegal, or legal support experience preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, research, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Strong judgment and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Canva. Key Attributes The successful candidate will be someone
