That's federal law under IDEA, so an open therapist seat is a compliance problem, not a wish list item. - Stay the district's go-to person: renew assignments for next school year, add therapists, and expand to more schools.

HOW YOU GET PAID
- 25% of the net spread on every hour a contract therapist works, for the life of the assignment. Net spread = what the district pays, minus the therapist's wages and employer burden.
- 10% of the placement fee on direct hires.
- Paid on the 15th of the following month via Stripe, on money the district has actually paid.
Example, one school year: a contract SLP billed at $85/hr and paid $55/hr, with about 18% employer burden ($9.90/hr), leaves $20.10/hr of net spread. Your 25% is about $5.03/hr. At 37.5 hrs/week for a 36-week school year (1,350 hours):
- 1 therapist: about $6,784 per school year
- 10 therapists: about $67,838 per school year
- 25 therapists: about $169,594 per school year
Rates and hours are illustrative; real district rates vary by state, discipline and onsite vs. teletherapy. Renewals for next school year keep paying.
