Cloud FinOps Analyst

Managing and optimizing cloud expenses within the Engineering organization, the full-time Cloud FinOps Analyst will focus on AWS infrastructure, Snowflake data platforms, and OpenAI/Anthropic API utilization while collaborating with engineering teams to build cost-efficient systems remotely. Key responsibilities Build and manage cost models tracking spend across OpenAI and Anthropic, detailing costs by application and model types Audit Snowflake utilization to optimize virtual warehouse sizing and data storage lifecycles Monitor AWS consumption and propose optimization strategies, including infrastructure rightsizing and managing Savings Plans Required qualifications A minimum of 6-7 years of professional experience in cloud financial management or engineering operations Understanding of Snowflake credit structures and LLM pricing metrics Knowledge of core AWS services, pricing models, and cost management tools Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction and manipulation Experience building dashboards in QuickSight or equivalent BI tools
