Manager Accounting Financial Reporting

We're seeking a Financial Accounting Manager to oversee general ledger, audit, and tax functions for a professional services firm, while managing day-to-day accounting operations and supervising a small accounting team.

• Manage month-end/year-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements
• Oversee trust accounting, cash flow, and bank reconciliations
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and manage the annual audit process
• Coordinate tax compliance with external advisors; prepare basic filings as needed
• Supervise and develop accounting staff (Staff Accountant, Payroll Specialist, AP Specialist)
• Oversee payroll and AP, ensuring strong internal controls
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred
• 5–7+ years of accounting and tax experience, with supervisory experience preferred
• Professional services experience preferred (law firm experience a plus)
• Strong knowledge of GL accounting, financial reporting, audits, and taxation
• Proficient in Excel; trust accounting system experience a plus
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with high attention to detail and discretion
