Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Controller

A well-established insurance company in Houston, Texas is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Controller to join our executive leadership team. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's continued growth and long-term success.

• Lead all accounting, finance, treasury, and financial reporting functions.
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cash flow management.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, insurance regulations, tax requirements, and internal controls.
• Partner with the CEO and executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that support business objectives.
• Analyze financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Oversee annual audits, banking relationships, financial risk management, and regulatory reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• CPA preferred; MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) regulations and Property & Casualty insurance.
• Insurance industry experience required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, communication, and strategic decision-making skills.
