Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting

Africa Telerad - Teleradiology & PACS Solutions is a Kenya-based teleradiology provider delivering comprehensive remote image interpretation services across the region.

Role Description The Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi County, Kenya. This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and analysing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies. Day-to-day tasks include managing general ledger entries, overseeing consolidation of financial results across business units, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.

Accountant will coordinate with operations and management teams to provide financial insights, support budgeting and forecasting, and assist with internal and external audits. The role also involves maintaining strong internal controls, improving reporting processes, and supporting management in financial decision-making.

• Strong expertise in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements, with the ability to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely submission.
• Solid background in Financial Reporting, including experience consolidating results across multiple entities or business units.
• Demonstrated analytical skills, with the capability to interpret financial data, identify trends and provide clear, actionable insights.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
• Experience in senior or lead accounting roles, ideally within healthcare, technology or service-oriented organisations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills; familiarity with IFRS and local accounting requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance, operations and management teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
