Estimator (Estimator) Full-Time

Since its incorporation in 2003, Cooper Tacia General Contracting has evolved from residential construction and renovation in Sanford, NC to large-scale manufacturing, office buildings, government and education facilities, restaurant and retail spaces, apartment complexes and airport construction throughout the southeastern United States. We are currently seeking an Estimator to become an integral part of our innovative preconstruction team. This role is responsible for serving as the architect of accurate and competitive project cost estimates that lay the foundation for our success. Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing. Provide vital cost information and estimates for project adjustments throughout different phases. Acts as a resource to project management during the award / start-up phase to clarify any issues regarding what was considered in the estimate including materials and methods of construction. Reviews budget and project profitability status and goals with supervision and project team as required. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field required, coupled with a minimum of 4 years of commercial preconstruction estimating experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and experienced with industry-standard estimating software (e.g., Demonstrated skills in reading and interpreting bid documents and drawings, with a keen attention to detail.
