MARS Solutions Group is looking for a Business Development Manager to help build and expand our Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain staffing practice. This is a major growth area for MARS, and we’re looking for someone who can develop relationships with manufacturers and other organizations hiring specialized engineering, operations, manufacturing, and supply chain talent. The ideal candidate has experience selling staffing, professional services, or workforce solutions into manufacturing and engineering organizations and understands how to develop business beyond a single hiring manager. What You’ll Do: Develop new accounts across manufacturing, engineering, operations, and supply chain Build relationships with engineering, plant, operations, supply chain, IT/OT, and executive leadership Identify contract, contract-to-hire, and permanent placement opportunities Expand MARS relationships across multiple departments and locations within client organizations Conduct client discovery and intake meetings to understand workforce challenges and technical requirements Partner with MARS recruiting teams to develop sourcing and delivery strategies for specialized positions Build a consistent pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, networking, and existing relationships Negotiate staffing agreements, pricing, and engagement terms Develop long-term strategic relationships rather than transactional placements Represent MARS at client sites, industry events, and networking opportunities Areas You May Support: Hiring needs may include: Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Industrial Engineering Automation and Controls Engineering Quality Engineering and Quality Leadership Supply Chain, Procurement, and Strategic Sourcing Manufacturing and Plant Operations ERP and Manufacturing Technology Engineering Leadership Specialized technical and hard-to-fill positions What We’re Looking For: 3+ years of business development, account management, staffing, professional services, or related B2B sales experience Experience selling into manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or supply chain organizations strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to develop new accounts and expand existing relationships Understanding of contract staffing, contract-to-hire, and direct-hire models Ability to communicate credibly with engineering, operations, supply chain, HR/TA, and executive stakeholders Strong prospecting, relationship development, negotiation, and closing skills Ability to independently manage a territory and sales pipeline Experience partnering with recruiting teams on specialized or difficult-to-fill positions Existing relationships within the Atlanta, Dallas, Charlotte, Chicago, or Milwaukee markets are a plus Career Opportunity: This person will have an opportunity to help shape a growing MARS practice.
