General Counsel (Part-Time)South Florida | Onsite Executive Leadership OpportunityA rapidly growing consumer products company operating in a highly regulated industry is seeking a Part-Time General Counsel to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team. This executive-facing role will partner closely with ownership and senior leadership on corporate strategy, governance, commercial transactions, compliance, enterprise risk management, and business growth initiatives. This role goes beyond providing legal advice. The successful candidate will be a trusted business partner responsible for helping drive strategy, governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and organizational growth. The General Counsel will work closely with ownership and senior leadership to support critical business decisions and long-term company objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise executive leadership on strategic, operational, regulatory, and governance matters.Review, negotiate, and oversee commercial contracts and business agreements.Identify and mitigate legal, regulatory, financial, and operational risks.Partner with leadership on growth initiatives, licensing matters, and corporate development opportunities.Support board governance, corporate compliance, and enterprise-wide policy development.Manage relationships with outside counsel, regulators, lenders, and key stakeholders.Provide guidance on employment, compliance, and organizational best practices.QualificationsJD preferred.10+ years of legal, compliance, or executive leadership experience.Experience within highly regulated industries required.Strong background in corporate governance, contracts, compliance, and risk management.Demonstrated ability to influence executive decision-making and business strategy.Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.Preferred ExperienceMulti-state operational experience.Prior experience in cannabis or similarly regulated industries.Exposure to corporate finance, lending relationships, and complex business transactions.This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of a growing organization while partnering directly with senior leadership on high-impact business decisions.
