Hughes Media Law Group (HMLG) is growing, and we're looking for an exceptional senior corporate and transactional attorney to join our team.

We work at the intersection of media, technology, entertainment, gaming, and consumer products, advising everyone from ambitious entrepreneurs and emerging businesses to established brands and Fortune 50 companies.

Our work is anything but ordinary. We help clients build businesses, structure partnerships, raise capital, develop new business models, negotiate complex transactions, and pursue opportunities in industries where the rules are constantly evolving.

We're looking for a lawyer who loves being part of those conversations. Someone who understands the business behind the legal question, enjoys solving interesting problems, and knows how to turn complex issues into practical solutions.

As Senior Corporate & Transactional Of Counsel, you'll work alongside experienced HMLG attorneys, serving as a trusted legal and strategic advisor to our clients.

Our practice operates like an outsourced in-house legal department. We build lasting relationships, become immersed in our clients' businesses, and provide ongoing legal support extending well beyond individual transactions.

Your work may include:

• Corporate formation, governance, restructuring, and strategic transactions.
• Commercial agreements, joint ventures, and business partnerships.
• Equity and debt financings, investment transactions, and capital raises.
• Mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and exits.
• General corporate counsel and strategic business advice.
• Negotiating complex commercial arrangements across multiple industries.
• Supporting clients through growth, expansion, and evolving business opportunities.

We particularly value attorneys who think like business owners, understand commercial realities, and recognize when a creative solution serves the client better than a conventional legal approach.

• Approximately 8+ years of substantial corporate and transactional experience.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and deal-management skills.
• Experience advising businesses on corporate governance, commercial transactions, financings, and M&A.
• Excellent business judgment and the ability to provide practical, strategic legal advice.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to exceptional client service.
• The ability to independently manage matters from beginning to end.
• Active admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• No ethics violations.

Experience as in-house counsel, outside general counsel, or an advisor to startups and growth-stage businesses is particularly attractive. Cross-border transactional experience is a plus.
