Our practice and philosophy
We advise a highly curated group of innovative companies, founders, investors, and funds. Our clients include AI, enterprise technology, and consumer startups, and we work closely with them on the legal and business decisions that shape their companies: raising capital, taking on debt, licensing technology, negotiating commercial relationships, managing governance, and navigating compliance.
Our team includes former founders who have raised venture capital, built companies, and negotiated and closed transactions themselves. We bring that founder perspective to our legal work: understand what the client is building, appreciate the constraints on time and capital, and give practical advice that helps clients make decisions and move their businesses forward. We act as fractional general counsel for many of our clients, managing their entire legal roadmap.
We believe small teams of excellent lawyers can do exceptional work when they know their clients well and take responsibility for the outcome. We value close partner collaboration, mentorship, and advice that advances the client's goals. We also build and use technology, including AI, to improve the quality and efficiency of our work and pass those benefits on to clients. Careful judgment and accountability remain central to how we practice.
This role is for a lawyer who wants to become a trusted part of a client's team, understand what they are building, and help them get there. You will work directly with partners and clients on transactions and ongoing fractional general counsel assignments.
