Burshteyn Polin LLP is building a modern litigation firm for technical, urgent, and consequential disputes. We believe great litigation comes from experienced lawyers who stay close to the evidence, help shape strategy, and take real ownership of the result. The firm is built around that model: deeply engaged teams, direct partner collaboration, real responsibility, and the resources to prepare every matter as if it may go to trial.
We are expanding our team of experienced litigators for hourly contract work. This role gives lawyers on the roster the chance to do sophisticated work, contribute at a high level, and choose assignments that fit their interests and availability. Our matters involve AI, crypto, cybersecurity, deceptive business practices, complex business disputes, and class and mass actions. We represent plaintiffs and defendants in courts and arbitrations across the country. The work is fast-moving and often headed toward a hearing, arbitration, or trial. This role is great for lawyers who want to do excellent work on a flexible basis—without committing to a traditional multi-thousand hour year.
Lawyers on our flexible roster are embedded with our case teams. They work side by side with our lawyers, participate in strategy and case management, and have access to the same resources and support as the rest of the firm. We staff matters based on case needs, each lawyers interests and availability, and fit for the assignment.
This is a remote hourly contract role, not a full-time associate position. Work is offered project by project, and hours will scale up or down based on case needs, your availability and interests, and fit for the assignment. The roster does not promise a minimum number of hours or a set term. All assignments are subject to a conflicts check.
Compensation is $50–$85+ per hour, depending on seniority.
To apply, submit your resume through LinkedIn. In your resume or profile, make clear your bar admissions and the work you most want to handle—briefs, discovery, depositions, case management, or a combination. We will follow up about availability and, for brief-writing candidates, a writing sample.
