Client Accounting Specialist – Public Accounting

An established public accounting firm with a growing Client Accounting Services (CAS) team. The team is collaborative, relationship-focused, and uses modern cloud tools to help business owners understand their numbers.

• Own the monthly and quarterly close for a portfolio of outsourced accounting clients, including reconciliations, accruals, journal entries and financial statements.
• Act as a day-to-day contact for clients and explain their financial results in plain terms.
• Help onboard new clients, including chart of accounts setup, cleanup and catch-up work.
• Review staff accountants' work and coach them.
• Work with the CAS Manager and the tax team to keep engagements on schedule and tax-ready at year-end.

Must-haves

• 3–5 years of public accounting experience, including CAS
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and the monthly close
• Experience preparing financial statements for multiple clients
• QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel
• Clear client communication and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines

• CPA or EA (or progress toward one)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
