As a TurboTax Local Service Expert, you will act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers toward favorable financial outcomes while supporting Intuit's mission of 'Powering Prosperity Around the World.'

In this position, you will operate on-site at a TurboTax location as part of a collaborative team of financial experts, assisting both in-person and virtual customers utilizing Intuit TurboTax products. Your primary responsibility will involve complete tax return preparation, offering expert tax advice, calculations, and software support. However, you will also play a crucial role in connecting customers with a wider network of specialists in business tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, and financial planning. Your mission is holistic — you'll engage deeply with customers to understand their unique financial situations and work closely with relevant experts to provide a seamless, comprehensive Intuit experience. Your understanding of individual customer situations and ability to connect on a personal level is essential. Taxes can be daunting, and your role as a knowledgeable guide can tremendously alleviate customer stress, whether they're handling simple W-2 filings, navigating significant life changes, or dealing with intricate scenarios involving business income, investments, or amendments. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in expanding TurboTax’s clientele within the local community by attracting new clients, fostering long-lasting relationships, and enhancing customer loyalty. You will leverage TurboTax's marketing support and resources to cultivate a thriving business that promotes prosperity for you and your community. What You'll Do:

• Provide Tax Expertise: Offer hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, addressing simple to complex tax situations. Facilitate discovery sessions and reviews to identify deductions, optimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice while using professional tools for accurate solutions.
• Be a Proactive Community Ambassador: Adopt an entrepreneurial mindset to actively cultivate a new local customer base for TurboTax. Identify prospects through outreach and grassroots marketing initiatives, and serve as the local face of TurboTax, converting prospects into loyal clients. Organize local events like financial literacy workshops and networking gatherings to engage your community.
• Champion the Full Intuit Ecosystem: Develop a deep understanding of customers' complete financial situations and connect them with the appropriate Intuit solutions to propel them forward. Build relationships through tax engagements and identify opportunities to introduce clients to complementary services.
• Build Relationships: Establish understanding and sensitivity to client financial concerns, creating long-term trust that transforms one-time transactions into loyal, multi-year relationships.

• Preferred: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with robust tax preparation experience and strong knowledge of tax laws.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software.
• Eager to upskill into more complex service areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll) with training provided by Intuit.
• Available to work onsite at a TurboTax office during standard business hours, with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.
• Willing to complete necessary training and development as required by the business.
• Must be prepared to wear Intuit-provided uniforms and use personal image for advertising.
• Interest in creating accessible tax-related content and resources according to Intuit's policies.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are an advantage.

• Must have or be able to obtain any necessary State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds. Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with an emphasis on pay-for-performance rewards. Base pay varies by location, with a range from $23.50 to $41.00 depending on the job location. This position is also eligible for cash bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits.
