Summary
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent with a strong background in large box retail and industrial facility construction, including interior buildouts. This individual will be responsible for leading all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires travel to project sites across the United States. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all field operations from project start through close-out.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel.
- Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with Project Manager.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Enforce jobsite safety protocols and maintain safe working environment.
- Conduct safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance on all job sites.
- Conduct daily site walks and maintain detailed daily reports and documentation.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals with local authorities.
- Manage site logistics, including deliveries, staging, and site organization.
- Identify and proactively resolve field issues to keep projects on track.
- Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate progress updates to project stakeholders.
- Drive project completion, include punch list and final close-out. Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Required experience in large box retail and industrial facilities.
- Strong experience with interior construction and tenant build-outs.
- OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30strongly preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively for out-of-town projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple trades and maintain project schedules.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore preferred) and Microsoft Office.
